479-531-8694

The Regions Beyond Paper and Ministries had been a dream of Dr. Harris'  for many years. That dream became a reality in 1995 when the first edition was printed.

Dr. Harris founded Regions Beyond Publications and Regions Beyond Ministries for the purpose of helping pastors and missionaries build their ministries. For over 10 years virtually hundreds of churches have increased greatly with the help of Regions materials, Regions Weekends, and Church Growth Conferences.

Regions Beyond Ministries was organized to help the cause of Christ around the world.  Dr. Harris believes any church can run 300 if church growth principles are known and practiced.

The Regions Beyond Ministries also publishes a Christian Paper of the same name, The Regions Beyond.   Dr. Harris' main focus is now with the paper and in helping pastors and missionaries around the world.  Regions Beyond offers outstanding materials for the Church, Pastor, and Missionary.

Regions Beyond Ministries owes its existance to its many friends and supporters.

DR. ROY HARRIS

Dr. Harris is a native Arkansan who accepted Christ at the age of 34.  Dr. Harris received Christ as a result of consistent soulwinning efforts of his friend, Fred Shemwell.

Dr. Harris attended and later served on staff of the Twelfth Street Baptist Church, now known as Heritage Baptist Temple.  Through the preaching and teaching of his pastor, Dr. Phillips, Bro. Harris felt God's calling on his life.   In 1971 he and his wife, Anita, left to attend the Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College in San Demas, California.

AN EXPERIENCED PASTOR

Upon graduation  he returned to Heritage Baptist Temple and served on staff until the Lord moved him to Russellville, Arkansas to accept his first pastorate.   Dr. Harris pastored the Rivervalley Baptist Church for 3 years.  During those three years the Lord blessed, souls were saved, and during one of those years it was the fastest growing church in the state.

In 1978, Dr. Harris answered the call to pastor the Bible Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Arkansas.  The church grew from averaging 78 to well over 500, with high attendance days of up to 1240. For twelve of those years it was the largest Independent Baptist Church in Arkansas. The missions giving of the church grew tremendously.   Many missionary families were sent out of Bible Baptist Church under his pastorate.  It was said that Dr. Harris was "constantly building".  This pastorate lasted over 19 years.

During his time as pastor he founded the Jacksonville Christian Academy and Bethel Baptist College.   Jacksonville Christian Academy is one of the largest Christian Schools in Arkansas with over 300 students annually.  Bethel Baptist College has trained many men for the pastorate and mission field. Upon retiring from the church, Dr Harris became the Pastor Emeritus.

Dr. Harris and his wife, Anita, have two daughters, Ann and Debbie.   They have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.   Dr. & Mrs. Harris reside in Sherwood, Arkansas.
