Help!, I'm Stagnated!
The majority of churches of all denominations are seriously
stagnate. This causes serious damage to the cause of
Christ. If you are serious about building a good church for
God these newsletters will help, and if you follow the
ideas you will find in them you will bring your stagnation
to a halt. It may help if you look at last week's article
before you read on here.
Let me mention some causes of stagnation:
1- You may have taken a stagnate ministry and you never
got it out of its rut.
2- You may have started well but things are not doing so
good now. Stop now and write out a list
of things that made it do well.
Example:
-What did you "fix that was not broken". Ive known men that
took good churches being driven by great Sunday Schools and
gave up part are all of the program, and they are sitting
around today trying to figure out "wha hoppen?". I want
say what did happen, but if you will ask God, He will tell
you.
(Let me put in a commercial here and tell you that you
could make this easier by doing a growth evaluation, and

3- Your growth minstry may simply need some new life.
4- Could it be that you have been stagnant so long that you
are leaning toward the contempory. Don't do it, Obey God!
5- A plan of growth thats to complicated for you to
perform.

6- If you are running under 500 in Sunday School you should
be making at least 15 visits to your congregation and 15
Evangelistic (soul winning) visits each week.
7- If your attendance is under 200 and you are full time
the number of soul winning type visits need to increase
accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE:
I am simply trying to get you to look at your program, and
your self, right now. If you believe that I am not speaking
from my heart, you don't know Dr. Harris.
Get out a pen and start writting:
1- How many do I have in my organization that I can
motivate if I worked at it?
2- How many do I have in a leadership role that are well
trained to do their job, and do they have a "Job
Description"?
3- How many Adult classes do I have?
4- What am I doing that builds my classes, and the leaders
of those classes?
5- Is my ministry "Organized to Evangelize"? If not then
what are you doing to obey Christ in Matt 28:19,20?
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I
have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto
the end of the world. Amen."
Write some notes and charts and be sure to follow this news
letter as we go through some of the things mentioned above
