New Years
You should be ready to start your new year off right by having much of your planning done, and ready to present your VISION.
Lets take this a step at a time:
1. New Years Watch Night Service Program: Time 7:00 PM– 12:01After some good
opening music the first speaker is called. A good preacher in the church or etc.
2. Second speaker would start about 7:45-8:00
3. He might be a good missionary with a good slide presentation, or a group of
“preacher boys” preaching 5 minute messages. This is great.
4. Pastor makes a less than 30 minute presentation of the coming year. Use some visuals like skits and pictures of the last year. Hand out your vision for your next years plan.
5. About 9:00 PM, Take a “banquet” break for 45 min to one hour. Great food,
great fellowship, but keep it moving. If you don't you will loose some. if you do, its
your fault.
6. About 10:00. Best music that you have, then the best speaker available.
7. 11:00. Testimonies or another speaker, or have your missionary here.
8. 11:30-11:40 Pastor closes out the new year with a rousing 15-20 minute challenge.
9. 12:00 Welcome in the new year with a “HAPPY NEW YEAR” and the first baptism
of the year. Yes that’s correct. Have your first baptism of the new year.
I have been pastoring a long time and the only New Year services that were not up to par is when I had a movie.
Also I have never been able to get in my full program and people often would go back to the dining hall and fellowship for another hour or more.
Note: Name each hour of the night. Examples:
1. Hour of Power
2. Hour of Prayer
3. Hour of Missions
4. Hour of Preaching
5. Hour of Fellowship
6. Etc
