THE POWER OF FAITH PROMISE

ACTS 1:8

 1.          First, I am speaking to righteous people – Saved God loving

2.          Then do you realize that giving and missions is a big thing with God

             Matthew 21:43 You need to get this.

 3.          Then can a person really give sacrificially? I can only give my life, I can’t give    

               substance!!

 4.         Then as a Christian you want God’s blessing Amen!

            So you and I must get in and stay in an attitude that will not hinder God from blessing! ‘

            Not my will God but yours!

 5.      God’s Provision – Mal. 3:7-11 – This is the most encouraging chapter on giving in  

           God’s Word to me.

 6.      Faith Promise will bring Revival

         My prayers this week is that you would get a love for God’s work – genuine revival.

        A new love for God.

        Would you this week say, “God, let me see this world as you see it.”

God would want you and I to know that He has supplied some one (you) to meet others needs.

 Listen to me: I saw a small village get saved down in Mexico. I saw teen age boy with a New Testament in his hand, walking up a hill – thrilled! Mr. Missionary, “Who will come back to these people and follow up – NOBODY – God’s watching!

 “How many am I responsible? Preacher. Whole World – No just a little Mexican boy!

II Cor. 9:6-8      Matthew 6:33

 God is saying:

“Take care of my business and I will take care of you.”

 This verse helped me:

Things that blessed my life

1. John R. Rice = Prayer, Asking, Receiving.

2. Jack Hyles = Let’s go Soul Winning

3. Giving

 Tithing is a debt I owe, giving is a seed I sow.

 “God is dead” theology came along when I first got saved – This is a Bible believing,

fundamental Baptist Church isn’t it? = We object to that don’t we?

But do we really practice that there is a live God? He’s alive – Amen!

I read what God did for:

Spurgeon – I thank God for that

Hudson Taylor – I thank God for that

Charles Finney – I thank God for that

D. L. Moody – I thank God for that

 I thank God that He used them in their generation, but wait – we need God to use us in our

generation.

 You know the story of the Widows Mite – Rich Folks

She gave a couple of meager cents and Christ liked it!

 Church was taking commitments for a new ??

- One stood and said, “I’ll give 5000.00”

- Another stood and said, “I’ll give 3000.00”

- Old Mister rich stood and said, “I’ll give the widows mite”

- Little lady in the back jumped up and shouted, “Praise God” she gave it all, we can build the building and for cash.

 I believe during this conference you need to be:

 1. Sensitive to God

2. You need to ask God to use you in a special way

 How many new – new converts – never been involved in Faith Promise – How many have?

 O. J. Smith – started with 3.00 – 90% In 23 years.  I’ve increased mine every year.
